Awards - Event Planning

Coordinate with staff to plan and promote an engaging awards program to recognize CCR agents for their successes. Meetings: Once per month December – April

Broker Engagement

Coordinate quarterly meetings to help CCR’s Brokers, Managers and Office Coordinators stay informed, and provide input on key industry issues. The committee promotes and strengthens Broker-Manager involvement in CCR by providing an opportunity for sharing useful ideas, successes and challenges. Meetings: 3 times per year

Bylaws

Community Outreach

Promote REALTOR® image to the public through community involvement, volunteering, and service projects benefiting the Carroll County community. Meetings: Second Tuesday of the month

Education

Work with staff to coordinate CCR’s continuing education to provide members with engaging and relevant topics; enabling them to meet their CE requirements and career goals. Actively search for engaging and innovative course material on emerging industry needs, to include NAR designations, expert speakers, seminars and interactive workshops. Serve as monitors for classes and enforce requirements as mandated by the MD Real Estate Commission. Meetings: Second Monday of the month

Legal & Legislative

Review state and local legislation, create public policy positions of CCR, and influence legislation at the state and local levels. This committee monitors local issues and activities, impacting the industry and homeownership, participates in county or state task forces and stakeholder meetings, and promotes member relationships with elected officials. This committee also informs CCR members of new laws and pending legislation, works with staff to plan CCR’s legislative events, and reinforces the relationship between advocacy efforts and investing in RPAC. Meetings: Once per week during legislative session or as needed

Member Benefits & Engagement

Focus on collaboration between association committees and membership to increase participation.  Create a welcoming culture by strengthening connections and relationships between association and members.  Enhance value by working closely with staff to facilitate networking events and social gatherings.   Identify, utilize and facilitate effective two-way communication to provide valuable updates on committee events, association news, benefits and member needs. Promote professional development, partnerships and mentorship through growth focused member services and programs.  Increase membership by fostering an informed and empowered environment.  Meetings: First Wednesday of every other month

Orientation

Coordinate, oversee and instruct the entry program for Carroll County REALTORS®. Focus on building a foundation for new members and what their role will be within the association by educating them on the function of CCR. Emphasis on the importance of involvement in CCR, MD REALTORS® and NAR, member benefits, RPAC investment, professional development and industry networking. Meetings: First Tuesday of every other month

RPAC

The purpose of the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC) is to protect our Industry. This committee promotes an understanding of the benefits of investing in RPAC initiatives, by planning and hosting fundraising events, participates in interviewing candidates for local office and using member investments to provide financial support to REALTOR® friendly candidates. Strategic Planning

Focus on defining objectives, assessing current performance, and formulating strategies for future growth. Evaluate and identify strengths and weaknesses; refine the comprehensive roadmap guiding CCR decisions and actions, thus ensuring alignment and driving the organization forward. YPN (Young Professionals Network)

Help new real estate professionals excel in their careers, working within the vision and guidance of NAR, by giving them tools and encouragement to become involved in the following four areas: Association, Industry, Peers, and Community. Provide opportunities to include mentorship, business planning, education and networking.
